Very simple waiting area in Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji airport

Watch the first 2010 WorldCup match in the Mumbai airport waiting area, and this is the experience I would like to share with you.

If you are depart from Mumbai airport next time, please take note that:
1. Don't go too early, the security guard only allow you to go into the check in area at most 3 hours earlier

2. Always remember to have your e-ticket booking information printed in paper. The guard will check it together with your passport before let you go into the check-in area

3. You have to buy ticket to enter the waiting area if you are too early in the airport. It cost Rs 60

4. There is NO restaurant inside the waiting area, only has coffee bar, and fruit juice counter, so eat before you go

Heard that during peak hour, the Mumbai will be crazy in traffic jam. 15 KM travel could take 1 hour, by 2 wheels vehicle, so you can imagine how bad if you travel with car. We worry the same, so we make our journey earlier, reach the airport around 5.30 p.m. My flight is at 11.45 p.m. so we had been rejected to go into the check-in area.
I was really surprise with the 'simple' airport in Mumbai, it's a big big city in India, but it's airport amenities was so simple, which make me feel like airport in Subang .. or maybe even worst ...
