Even after install the MI3 phone manager, the device list is still not shown in my Android Studio.

So I tried again to install the Google USB Driver from the SDK Manager >> Extra

dang dang, finally it show in the list, and Hello World is now shown in my phone !

Hooray, can call it a day now!

Xiao MI 3 in the Device list !

Hello World!

Now, XiaoMi 3 is not detected in Android Studio ?

After get the Developer Options shown, I thought I can now see 'Hello World' in my phone. But.... it is NOT in the device list ??! Some people suggest to install the drive, or phone manager, so I am giving it a try now... hopefully my development environment will get setup properly after this step. BTW, the phone manager installer can be found when the phone is connected to the windows machine, and then it appear as CD Drive, there is a setup.exe there.
