Are you ready ?? - Part 6 - The $ Matter

Although going to be away 2 yrs, but, every month, there still $ need to be pay out from my account during my absent here.
So, how leh... it is really quite troublesome, but, I have come out an idea, that is, prepare all cheques for all thing has to be paid very month lor, then my sister will help to drop the cheque accordingly.
How, I clever leh?? This pig, after all, still got brain right? :D

Are you ready ?? - Part 5 - Family

To make sure my family, especially my parents to stay calm with my decision, I have to show them they can always talk and see me although it's far from MY.
So, the real painful process has to be begin.. bcoz..all my family member are basically know nothing about computer, so, what do you expect from them about chat and video conference using internet??

Ggrrr.... I will never do help desk support for a dummy user!! Really high blood pressure.... vomit!!

Are you ready ?? - Part 4 - Packing

Had spend lot's of $ for this trip, got to buy luggage, winter cloths, big big storage box, computer gadget, camera and etc. Just feeling the $ is keep going out from my wallet, 'gek sum' ~~ 心痛! :(

Luckily my ex-college know I am soooo poor(or maybe they think I am very stingy?? :p), they had 'sponsor' me a very nice laptop backpack and a winter jacket, almost want to cry liao when they give me on my last day, really thanks a lot :p

It's just another few days to go, have to start do packing.
Those need to bring over, throw it in luggage;
Those left here, throw it to big big storage box, this is an order you know, 'land-lord' order, must follow one;
Those dun want already, throw it tong sampah, and some donate to who ever want.

Oh ya..still remains small small thing need to buy..like some medicine lah, vitamin lah, and maybe have to stock in some under wear also :D. Dun think too much, the first impression when I look at this pinkly image, is funny OK?? Dun think in 'yellow' my dear friend! :D

Are you ready ?? - Part 3 - Air ticket

Of course I am not going to swim to China :D. [Can a pig swim anyway?? :D]

With the power of internet, I Google around for the ticket from KL - DLN. Surprisingly, the price is very expensive!! What dayak.com lah..and the other forgot the name liao, easily cost > RM 3K for 1 way ticket. This is crazy!!!

Luckily a friend [Lois] of my friend [WK], told me the price should never > 2K even for a round ticket from MY - China, anywhere in China!

So, I decide to check at the travel agency for the air fare.

Nearest to office, I went to 2 travel agencies in Wisma Central. Just to check check th e price first :)
From there, I get know the cheapest airline for that route, the China Eastern. With cheaper price, means the plane is smaller lor. And this need to be transit at ShangHai.

Since this airline office is just same as the China Embassy building, I decide to check the price again later. Actually there are few China airlines at that building, so, it is very convenient to compare the price.

Finally, I had bought ticket from China Eastern, cost RM 1308, this is the cheapest I can get. The China Southern airline, China airline all cost > RM 2K, they said this is peak season in China, the National holiday long break. And there is no choice I have to go earlier, because all weekends seat had full. :(

So, going to fly on 5th Oct 07, 01:45 AM lor...

And, I would really like to take this chance to say a big thanks to WK and his frend. Thru WK, only I get know this guy, Lois, that help me a lot to guide me about the trip planning, and help to find an accommodation there. I feel much 'secure' after get contact with this guy, at least I am not that alone after all.

Are you ready ?? - Part 2 - Work permit application

So, all documents are ready after 1 week. I went to the China embassy at KL. This embassy working hours is damn short, something like 09:00 - 11:30 am. So, have to wake up earlier to do it and go to office as normal.

The Q running very fast, everything settle in half an hour. Only need RM30 for that 'Z visa'. This is the name for the working permit in China. Got to collect it after 3 working days. Of course you can ask to process faster, with more $ paid, this of course not my choice :p

Are you ready ?? - Part 1 - Be prepare for work permit application

Of course, 1st step is to get the working permit.

To apply a China working permit, I am required to go thru a medical checkup.
In MY, we can do it either at TongShin hospital, or any government hospital.

The process can be consider 'fast'. Heart beat test, eye-sight, height, weight, X-ray, blood test and etc... take about 4 hrs to complete, I think this is acceptable... :p

With these details send back to the HR, I am just waiting for them to send me the required document to apply the working permit from the local China embassy in KL.

事业VS健康

刚巧看到中华医药节目，一位美食家得了胃癌，短短8个月，走了。。。
只觉得，美食家和胃癌这病，很讽刺，是因为吃太多好东东，quote 满了，所以得病吗？
节目完了，元凶不是暴饮暴食，而是太劳累了。经常熬夜，工作繁忙，食不定时，压力重重才是主因。

她的名字叫原晓娟，blog：原晓娟的博客
blog里有她的病床日记，就算没病，也是很好的养生资讯。
还有她的抗癌精神，值得敬佩。
还有她的美食图，你会惊喜连连的。

我不认识她，不过，看了看她的blog，我觉得她的成功，有目共睹，生活水品提高了，生命却也消逝了。。

Top 10 Q&A - Go or Not Go

Since I had start to tell around about my decision, I get all kind 'ah?', 'huh?', 'what?', 'err?' and so many questions. But after all, there are just about the same question from every one, let me listed here, and hope you can find the answer you would like to know, dun ask again when we meet up someday :p

Q1: HOW you find this job?
A1: I applied both jobstreet and jobsdb, and the lady called me told that she is referring to my application from jobstreet.

Q2: WHEN will you go?
A2: 5th Oct 07, I will be on the plane flying there. Will be landed on same date @ DaLian after about 8 hours of travelling

Q3: Going alone?
A3: Yes

Q4: WHY make you take the offer?
A4: Hmmm.... I couldn't tell a very strong reason now, I just feel want to go away from here..maybe I can give better answer after I get there :p

Q5: GOOD pay??
A5: Not at all, I can get better package here easily. I actually had pay cut from my previous job. I know you must be repeating Q4 again now :D

Q6: Any other benefit?
A6: No, it is just as simple as a net salary package, all expenses are on my own. Traveling back to home, accommodation and etc. (You must be thinking, MF really a pig :D)

Q7: HOW long will you be there?
A7: The contract is for 2 years

Q8: WHAT will you do there?
A8: Nothing much different, still a Java developer :)

Q9: Will you be back in between these 2 years?
A9: Once a year at least, I hope so lah..

A10: People call them 'Blue Giant', let me check if they really a giant, and what so special with their 'blue' here

Finally decided..
Although they all said I am the pig, otherwise that can be such stupid.
Goes that far, does not have the great money to gain, does not have lengzai to be possible `ditch', also cold, also does not have the friend, also does not have the family member to take care of.。In brief is the place which the fool only then can comply, I finally decide take the offer, and see you all in DaLian!

And tell you all a secret, I am not only stupid, sometimes I am very stubborn also. Stubborn until ah ba ah ma also won't listen to.. then for sure won't listen to you all these pig.
